Global Supply may be improving, however still remains challenging, but not to worry GFW are in a great place to weather the storm.

Difficult, complex, challenging and under pressure are just some of the words that have been used to describe the global supply chain environment since 2020.

Factors such as Covid, Brexit, high fuel prices and high on-line demand have created a ‘perfect storm’ and empty shelves can be seen in many retailers and even in the supermarkets.

However, GFW have taken steps to secure long-term contracts with global shippers and introduce new processes to continue recent improvements in product availability and customer service.

Businesses have to be resilient and capable of adapting to these disruptions and develop long-term strategies and solutions to these complex challenges.

We are happy to say that GFW have taken on these challenges and have secured a number of new shipping partners and contracts to guarantee our supply chain is both robust and remains competitive.

Shipping is only one part of the supply chain and in difficult times businesses need to be flexible and reactive and our inventory and sales order data is constantly being updated, allowing our new processes to react quicker and easier to the ever-changing market.

Even though there remain challenges in global supply chain, GFW are confident that with the developments put in place, recent product availability improvement to 75%+ can be maintained, with a 90%+ product availability an achievable summer target.
